2022- October 26-28, 2022: Presenter at the conference, “Jin Ping Mei. The Oral, the Written and the Pictorial in Late Imperial Chinese Fiction.” In Copenhagen, Denmark, in honor of Dr. Vibeke Bordahl, translator into Danish of Jin Ping Mei. Paper entitled: “Sexual Portrayal in Jin Ping Mei.”
- December 5, 2019: Presenter at the conference, “Jin Ping Mei and the World: Translation and Transculturation” A Symposium in Honor of David Roy (1933-2016). December 5, 2019. - February 15-18: Presenter at the symposium, “Rethinking Women and Visual Culture in Late Imperial China.” Paper title, “Cixi as Woman Ruler.” University of California at Los Angeles.
- April 6-7: Attendance as commentator at the scholars’ workshop on the “Last Empresses of China,” at the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, Massachusetts. In preparation for the production of catalogue and the organization of exhibit in collaboration with the Palace Museum in Beijing, China, to be presented at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Mass., and the Freer/Sackler Museum in Washington, D.C. in 2018-19.
- June 12-13: Presenter at the conference in honor of Professor Li Ling’s 70th birthday, “Occult Arts, Art History, and Cultural Exchange in Early China.” Paper delivered in Chinese, “Jin Ping Meiand the Art of the Bedchamber.” Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China.
